G6-710 Memory Upgrade - how to disassemble to access memory slots

I would like to add memory to my G6-710, and am trying to find a service manual/tech manual that explains how to disassemble the system so that I can access the memory slots on the motherboard.   Acer has been no help, they just tell me they can't tell me how to do it, as that would void the warranty.

Any links to the tech documentation so I can add the memory chips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

there are 4 screws to unscrew at the bottom of the heatsink, by the way, if possible, i suggest you to unscrew the fan on the heatsink instead of the whole block.

tech/service documentation is not available to the end user
about opening your PC case, is quite simple:
look at the back at unscrew the 2 right side screws, then slide back the right panel and pull it out.

    about ram
    Support DDR4 1.2V 2133MHz U-DIMMs (4GB, 8GB or 16GB) dual channel up to 64GB total memory

about timings, you need to check the modules already installed, you can use a simple software like CPU-z, download the zip version:

Hi.  Thanks IronFly for the info.   I have figured out how to get the case open, and which RAM to purchase.  My quandry now is how to correctly remove the heat sink/cooling module (at least I think that's what it is) so that I can get to the memory slots which sit underneath it.

Thanks IronFly!  I will give that a whirl.  Always better to muck with as little as possible.. IMHO.  :)
