WIFI Problem

I've had a Acer Aspire ES1-531 coming up too 2 years now and I've been experiencing a problem with the WiFi since the summer of 2017, straight after a Windows Update. I've gone through endless amount of forums and Microsoft escalation team to find a diagnosis but no luck. It's been a on and off situation and I've been able to use the laptop/ internet. I've tried to describe the issue below:
  • At the beginning when the problem started, whenever I moved the laptop (even slightest), Wifi icon became a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Oddly enough, its been okay for the last few months, I could even sometimes move it from room to room, up/downstairs.
  • ONGOING PROBLEM: Monitor freezes with an echoing buzzing sound in the background, which lasts for roughly 1-3 seconds until it goes back to normal. The WiFi icon then becomes a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. This happens on and off. Once every few days I'd say.
Also to note that;
  •  I have the latest Network Adaptor installed and updated.
  • I have factory reset the laptop twice since the problem has occurred (in August).
  • I may have a battery problem as my Laptop doesn't wake up from sleep mode, unless anyone knows a fix otherwise. [Another separate issue]
Apologies, not tech savvy but I can try be as descriptive as possible for anyone that can help.

    Since it seems to be intermittent and mechanically-induced, you probably need to re-seat the wifi antenna and card a few times to clean the contacts. Google "e5-531" "disassembly" "wifi". E5-series construction are similar. Jack E/NJ

    Any solutions to the laptop not waking up from sleep mode? - Whenever I close the lid and open it, the laptop turns on but no display

    OK. As for the lid problem, go to Control Panel and search "lid". Try fooling around with the lid power options from sleep to hibernate etc and back again to see if you can make something stick the way you want. Though my gut feeling says it's another one of those annoying auto Win10 update issues --- at least your machine hasn't been disabled from a Win10 update --- yet --- knock on wood. 8^) Jack E/NJ    PS: Another possibility is that if you press the Fn+F6 or Fn+F5 toggle key combos, the screen might turn back on after opening the lid --- that quirk happens to some other machines as well.
