your issue seems related to some hardware, maybe ram.

you can try a windows 10 factory reset and check if it still reboot (backup all your personal data first)
to factory reset, at boot press Alt+F10 keys and then follow instructions
    or
call Acer support service and have your laptop serviced.

can be overheat, are you sitting the laptop on a flat hard surface like a table?

Yes it is on a table, but isn't it raised up enough to allow for this? I can restart straight after it has happened.

    does it shutdown or reboots?

    download this tool, whocrashed:

before running it, browse to C:\windows\minidump
delete all files apart the first 2-3 files (newest)
then install whocrashed and run it
    click on Analyze
    report here the result.

can you please report your complete laptop model?

    Crash Dump Analysis
Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

    Crash dump directories:
    C:\WINDOWS
    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

On Fri 29/12/2017 17:17:54 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
    crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\122917-40062-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module:  (nt_wrong_symbols)
    Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFBF0E7AF968F8, 0x0, 0x0)
    Error: WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nt_wrong_symbols.sys .
Google query:   NT.WRONG SYMBOLS.SYS WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR

On Fri 29/12/2017 15:01:14 your computer crashed or a problem was reported

    Error:  SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

Google query:   NT WRONG SYMBOLS.SYS SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

    Conclusion
3 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:
    NT WRONG SYMBOLS.SYS

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination with the errors that have been reported for these drivers. Include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions on the web by users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

I tried clicking on links above but I didn't get anywhere useful and had to remove them to be able to post this message.

do you have a panel to easily upgrade your ram...?? if you do open that panel and there u might gave kind of button ... to the panel add a tape or something to keep it pressed.. (the button actually looks kinda like a black strip)... i've had the same problem with my acer f15... after doing that it stopped shutting down randomly... hope it helps
