GPU inactive/strange beeping noise on startup (Possibly POST)/ Custom fan control broken.

I recently bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 and I have been noticing that my GPU is inactive unless I am gaming. I have read other people's posts and I have heard there is a way to make it run constantly. How is this?
I have also noticed that there is a strange beep beep-beep when I startup my computer (Might be POST)
And finally, the custom fan speed section on the PredatorSense software only works while I am gaming/the GPU is active. I can only set it to off which Auto is then. Or Max.

  • The NVIDIA GPU is only used when it is needed. Having the dedicated GPU on all the time will greatly reduce battery life when you are not plugged in. You can change the default GPU in NVIDIA Control Panel, or use this program: https://github.com/jobeid/TrayPwrD3

As for the beeps, try updating your BIOS to the latest version, and reset them to defaults.

For the fan on the GPU, you only need the fan turned on when the GPU is being used.

I am meaning that the custom fan cooling will not turn on for the CPU or the GPU, not just the latter.
