Drivers for GeForce 730M won't install (Aspire V3-571G). Please HELP!!!

I just bought a Aspire V3-571G, and seeing as I didn't want Windows 8 loaded with all sorts of bloatware, I wiped the harddrive and did a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

Now here's the problem.

I can't install the drivers for the GeForce 730M...which was pretty much the entire reason I bought this computer.

I've tried the NVIDIA ones.

I've tried the ACER drivers too.

I've even tried modding the INF file from the instructions of various websites.

I've done all sorts of Windows 7 updates.

NOTHING, and I mean nothing works.

I keep being told that it can't find any compatible hardware or that it's missing required files.

So...Acer, what am I to do now? I'd really appreciate some help here.

i have the same exact issue. and im pretty bummed that acer hasnt even responded yet. i hope they care enough about the unhappy windows 8 customers who are tring to use their windows 7 installs on their acer system to help us out and give us some solutions on this forum. so let me elaborate on this issue...

i got all the windows 7 drivers from the acer site and i got the appropriate windows 7 64 bit nvidia 730m driver from the geforce website. i know the drivers were correct because they were windows 7 64 bit (my operating system) and nvidia website found them or me. i installed windows 7 and validated it and everything from the acer website installed fine except for the nvidia drivers. the set from acer didnt work using the setup file and also the driver set from nvidia website didnt install using the setup file. i tried the manual "have disk" installation using the inf files in the driver sets and neither worked. for one of the driver sets, my video card wasnt even in the list to select on the have disk screen after selecting the inf. and the other driver set had my video card to select but then it gave the error of wrong operating system... i cant remember which driver set gave which response though. i think the acer set was the one where my card wasnt in the list. i tried the inf modification trick but it didnt work though im not sure if i did it right. i tried uninstalling the drivers for both cards in device manager then rebooting in safe mode and deleting them again and then rebooting and trying to install but i think windows just ended up installing a bugged, yellow exclamation driver for it again in the device manager. so basicly no soultion found on the internet has worked so far. and also when i reinstalled windows again, the driver set for windows 8 64 doesnt work but the acer driver set does.

    I have a windows 8 64. Had a similar problem. Here's how I solved my problem.

    1. I inserted a CD with drivers Acer.
    2. Opened the device manager.
    3. Chose a display adapter.
    4. choose Properties -> update driver->browse my computer for diver sofware ->let me pick from a list...->have disk->browse-> DVD:\AutoRun\DRV\nVidia NVIDIA VGA N14PGE\MOD01D00HT000N0001\Display.Driver\nvac.inf->OK
    5. waited installation
    6. profit

I have the M5 but probably the same for V3.

You probably still have the Win8 BIOS (DO NOT CHANGE IT - not necessary).

You should try installing the driver (from the Acer download site) for Win8.

I believe it is the BIOS expecting 'see' the nVidia for Windows 8.

If you are unable to mod the drivers from nVidea then Acer Win8 are much later than Win7 anyway.
