warranty

i brought a acer 1  laptop  on  01/09/2017   and  2 days ago the screen went wrong    acer say screen cracked  and say there no warranty on laptop.  i have found there after sales service one of the worse i have come across.  any one can tell me what to do next. i was led to believe you could take a item back and get a exchange. would advise  anyone to check other laptop makers out
