I have an Aspire G7710, manufacture date 2009/03/08

What kind of Nvidia cards are available to me or will work with the above-stated desktop pc?
I inquired to an online seller about "Palit GeForce GTX1050 StormX 2GB 128bit PCIe DDR5 "Videocard but the seller claim it will not work with my gear, I'm confused why it will not work hence the question.

Also, on the manual, it says the maximum memory is 2GB per slot, but I was able to use 4GB on 3 slots and 2GB on the other 3 slots which make me doubt the veracity of both the manual and the technicians I talk to.  On that topic, can I use 8GB?

Btw, I tried to search the SNID of my unit but it says serial not found, was my unit too old? I still find it useful for both my work and leisure, I can still run Adobe suite, OpenSCAD, Fusion 360, Android Studio, and Unity.  I am able to run 2 VM using Oracle's VM. I can still play most of the games I play such as Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 and a couple of Steam Games. I hope you don't put this PC out of support. it may be old but it still works and fast than most pc I came across.

GPUs don't have compatibility issues, unless you try to connect to PCI-e gen 1 and x4 lanes. Do you have any dedicated GPU installed in your PC?

Maybe at 2009, when your PC came out, the maximum memory in a single module could have been 2GB. Also it could be that the recommended ammount of memory per module is 2GB and any higher than that may or may not work.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Any Acer desktop manufactured from late 2013 to present can run that GTX1050 (assuming it fits and you have adequate power supply).

There's quite a few Acer models manufactured in 2012 that could run that GTX1050.

There might be a couple models manufactured in 2011 that could run that GTX1050,

Basically anything from 2010 or older has about a zero chance of running that GTX1050.
    I'm not an Acer employee.
