I just want to ask if what would be the best upgrade for me, I recently bought a helios 300 (with i5 7300hq, 4gb ram, gtx 1060 gb).
I already upgraded the memory to 8gb 2400mhz, now my dilemma is should I get another 8gb of ram or should I just go with the ssd instead?

Ultimately it depends on what you are using your laptop for. If you are using it for new games, some of the requirements are 12GB+ of RAM. With only 8GB, you will be unable to play them.

On the other hand, the SSD will show the biggest performance increase overall, but will not make it possible to play games that require more RAM.

Just to add something: The device was equipped with 4GB RAM when you bought it and you added another 4GB. Now you have 2x4GB and no more available slots. If you want to upgrade the RAM you have to remove one of the 4GB and add 8GB, which will make it 12GB.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
