I'm asking as this is extremely confusing, Acerdisplay.com has this monitor now at a 1900R curve rating, where websites say its 2300R which is its original spec.
The Model number hasn't changed since its launch, it isn't said anywhere to be HDR Ready besides from Acer's Website recently, Does this mean all products in stores are now "HDR" Or how do we even check if they are or aren't.
The Model number is identical far as I can tell, and resellers have almost no way to differentiate them, nor have updated their data.
I'm interested in getting this monitor but this is extremely confusing and trying to find a reseller in Canada that has a HDR model if it exists. Resellers haven't a clue what the monitors specs are besides what they set when they brought the product in largely, so a Change/Update to the Box Art saying "HDR Ready" would slip through the cracks.
The HDR Ready part of this page
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/xr was added sometime after November 5th 2017 as far as I can tell from Website captures, so this update is Recent which makes me more concerned that Current inventory wouldn't be updated, and this update is a pretty big deal imo, HDR support vs no HDR support just by getting the right box... This is a terrible move and very unprofessional to release such a big feature under the same model without a revision number or anything to identify it.
