Broken keys on my E5-575G

I recently bought a used acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-5341. Once I got it home I found out that a few keys weren't working (backslash, right shift, up directional arrow, page up, numpad .). The previous owner insists that nothing was wrong when he had it, but says he hasn't used it in a while. Reinstalling drivers and a full factory reset didn't fix it, so I figure it has to be a hardware issue. Originally I was planning to just replace the keyboard, but research tells me that the process is significantly more complicated for this model of laptop than what I'm used to. So, I'm looking for people with experience in this area.
- How hard would it be to do a full keyboard replacement for someone completely unfamiliar with the process? I've found a replacement on ebay with a backlight, which would be nice to have if I could install it.
- What other things can I try to fix the keys? I've found a site for replacing keycaps, but I don't know how helpful that information is unless removing the broken keys, fiddling the interiors around a bit, then putting it back together is likely to fix anything.
