My Aspire S7-391 is missing a screw, can this affect the whole laptop?

I recently had my laptop checked and cleaned. The technician said that he would replace a screw that was loosethreaded. Can the loss of this screw affect the whole laptop? When the cover is pulled up, it doesn't want to turn on, also the Power button on the side. But when plugged to a charger, it works. Can my laptop still be saved?

there's a particular screw near the bottom center of the bottom cover that can trigger the battery switch and don't let your laptop turn on.

so...yes, one screw can affect the whole laptop.
