Hello! i am very disappointed because i paid over 550€ for a laptop Acer F5-573g with a type C 3.1 connector and i receive a message everytime i try to plug a 3.1 device.

The message says: "DisplayPort/MHL connection might not work. Try using a different cable".

I am trying to connect a DisplayPort monitor via Type C port + a Dock or an Adapter and i received the same message all the time. I test the same setup with a Travelmate x349 and it works fine. I have the issue just with The F5-573g. The USB port shows as a USB 3.0 Hub, any suggestions?

The USB Type-C port doesn't have to support USB 3.1 for all devices. In your case the Type-C port support up to USB 3.0 speeds, which has 2 times less bandwidth than HDMI 1.4 and much less than display port. You can't really use this port for video.

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Just checked, your f5-573g should have USB type-c 3.1. Can you send the full model of your laptop with the last digits?
