I want to buy Acer R 15 R5-571TG-7229 and upgrade the hard drive space. I found a post saying that I could buy a laptop hard drive connector (Part number 50.GCCN5.001) Is there a slot in the laptop to install this? and is there a tutorial on how to do this? Thanks in advance

You might be able to find a video how to disassemble the laptop. By looking at your laptop, the disassembling process starts from removing the keyboard first(have to unscrew all the screws at the back of the laptop). After you remove the keyboard, you will see the motherboard. Usually the port on the motherboard for the drive cable is located on the other side, so you will have to turn the motheboard upside down. Find the port, connect the one side of the cable there and the other side to the place where the drive connects. The process of assembly is the reverse of disassembly and much easier.

Note: It is not bad to disconnect the internal battery once you can reach it. Disconnect the charger from the laptop before disassembling.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
