your laptop doesn't support legacy OS or not EFI compatible.
i strongly suggest to install at least winodws 8 (64 bit) creating a proper bootable USB flash drive, using Rufus:
    download Rufus:
plug your USB flash drive, run Rufus then:
select ISO image from the dropdown menu near "Create a bootable disk"
click on the little icon on the right and browse to your ISO file
as  Partitions scheme select "GPT partition scheme for UEFI"
    as File system select "FAT32"
    click on Start
wait until it finish, then uplug your USB flash drive
    I'm not an Acer employee.

I love the Aspire with Endless on it. It is an awesome computer. Endless 3.2 specifically is so secure  no one can hack it without an update. Secure, if you people don't want your Linux Acers, I will take them. Send me a note.
