In my old Dell laptop there used to be an option in DELL BIOS to disable battery charging when mostly using power source to prevent charging unnecessarily
which ensures long life of Li-Ion cell based laptop battery.
So in Acer BIOS v1.25 present in my E5-575 model laptop is there any such option?
I am not able to see any support from my OS/linux like plane mode so hoping if someone can tell on this.

i am new user to Acer and in my last few days did not explore BIOS options fully apart from changing boot related settings for setup
so if i miss any excuse me.

Thanks in advance

    hmm.ok.Thanks.
I asked because just after few days capacity of my brand new laptop's battery shows already 93.5% . i thought after few recharge cycles it might increase but decreases from 95% earlier. So looked to adopt  few methods to extend battery lifetime tips,BIOS options etc
So with internal non-removable battery this is goin to be a pain area , this is where i miss my dell where battery disable charging option in BIOS was present as well as user-removable/replaceable one.
  • Hi,
You are welcome, yes it will be fine after few cycles, you could try calibrating manually occasionally to maintain the battery at a healthy condition.

To better assist you with your concern, we would like to know the following:
Does the power button lights up when you turn your computer on?
    Is the battery indicator glowing?
Aren't you getting a blue screen or black screen when you open your computer?

It might be that your power supply has simply failed. First, make sure the battery has some charge. If you’re not sure, and there’s no power indicator on the battery itself, then remove it entirely and just use the mains charger to check the issue.
