Currently system is trying to start up and there is the Acer splash but when it tries to open windows I get BSOD saying Critical Process died. I try to use ALT & F10 and goto trouble shooting but wont let me reset the PC back to factory defaults. goes to about 50% and says it fails.

Any ideas how I can get it to boot into windows ?

    1) download a windows 10 iso using Microsof tool:
select the proper windows 10 version (the same installed on your laptop) and choose to save it as iso file when prompted
    2) download Rufus:
plug your USB flash drive, run Rufus then:
select ISO image from the dropdown menu near "Create a bootable disk"
click on the little icon on the right and browse to the windows 10 downloaded iso file
as  Partitions scheme select "GPT partition scheme for UEFI"
    as File system select "FAT32"
    click on Start
wait until it finish, then uplug your USB flash drive
    3) Reboot to BIOS, pressing F2 at boot, then press F9 to load default and F10 to save and exit
    4) plug your USB flash drive and at boot press F12 (if F12 doesn't work, see if it auto-recognise the USB flash drive or press F2 to enter BIOS and enable F12 boot menu under BOOT tab), choose the USB flash drive as bootable device

then you can try to repair your windows 10 installation or do a clean install if you don't need to backup your personal data

ok, so you need to wipe your SSD/HDD, there's a damaged partition:
    https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/help/2476568/error-0x80070057-when-you-format-a-hard-disk-drive-to-install-windows

even if it's for windows 7, it applies to win 10 too

so, right now the SSD is a single raw not allocated space?

if so and you are still not able to install windows with that error, probably your SSD has some issues.
if you are still under warranty, i suggest you to call Acer support service.

It’s an Emmc disk. Has 3 volumes all raw and 4 partitions. I can delete the partitions but it just readds them when system restarts.

    that's strange.
    try this:
boot from the USB isntallation media, press Shift+F10 at language/keyboard screen options, to enter Command prompt.
    once in command prompt type
    diskpart
    then on diskpart type
    list disk
take note of the correct disk ID to erase
    type
    select disk x
(x is the ID of your HDD to erase)
    type
    clean all
once done (it can take a while), exit the command prompt and continue windows installation

if it doesn't work, probably there's some kind of block on emmc and you need to contact Acer support service.
