Subject: Acer Predator G9-791 complaint

Hello,
I would like to submit several complaints for my Acer Predator G9-791, which I bought on the 12th of july, 2016, so barely a year ago, and have several major issues with it already, though I noticed some minor issues with the hardware a month or so after receiving it. Underneath I have created a list in chronological order, from when I noticed the issues.
Significant wear and tear on the S and D key.
A malfunctioning pixel in the center of the lower right quadrant of the screen.
Software issues that rendered the computer unusable until restart.
Failure to restart (after a software crash), requiring the power button to be pushed until the computer powered off.
On powering up after being put in sleep or hibernation mode, the screen will only show RBG colours. This requires either a restart of the computer or that the screen goes black due to lack of activity.
Sudden shutdowns with no warnings.

The issue with the keys are minor, but it’s very ironic how the creators of the computer have highlighted the W A S D keys on this “gaming computer,” and yet, these keys are the first to decay. Secondly, the malfunctioning pixel, which is not technically dead, can only display lighter colours, rendering it dead in any case there is a darker colour on that part of the screen. I even phoned an Acer call center about this, but they said they couldn’t really do anything about it. Thirdly and most common, the software crashes. These happen at least once a week, up to three times a week, and require a complete restart of the computer, due to the nature of the crash. The crashes are usually with the Windows 10 OS, and the effect is that things like the taskbar, task manager, start menu and any other functions Windows provides are either unavailable or takes so long the system stops the task. This is the most common type of crash, and sometimes leaves the application or programs in the foreground running, and while you may switch, the ones in the background usually stops. Other types of crashes leaves the keys on the keyboard and even the power button unresponsive, though the mouse and programs in general work as normal. Finally, the failure to restart happened recently, which was after the keys malfunctioned. I opened the start menu (as the power button was not working) and chose to turn the computer off, and there was nothing unusual until the screen turned off, whist they light for the keyboard, power button and battery was still lit. I waited for a few minutes until I was tired and tries to disconnect the battery which turned the computer off.

18.10.17 - Computer turned off unexpectedly, bluescreen flashed before shutdown
20.10.17 - Computer turned off unexpectedly, smelled like plastic was burning (coming from the computer) Quick virus scan showed no threats, shut computer off for half an hour until all the external parts had returned to lower temperature. Note that the computer had only been in use for about 3 hours when this happened, after “sleeping” over the night. The computer shut itself off a second time, and it looks like the processor is working more than usual. The computer is not abnormally warm, though I was playing video games and operating other demanding tasks for the computer. I ran a complete system search through the anti Virus program which returned nothing, checked for OS updates, checked for driver updates (separately) and updated java.

I study programming, so unexpected shutdowns like this and being unable to rely on a computer is unacceptable.
