ACER DA220HQL monitor "Touch: Connect Fail!!!!!!" warning.

Hello, I purchased an Acer DA220HQL  Media All In One smart screen. I used it for a while with no issues. Wasn't sure if I really needed it so I did a factory reset on it then stored it back in it's original box for about two years. Well I took it out of the box today to setup in my son's room. When I powered it on the touch screen didn't work. There was a warning in the lower left of the screen that says "Touch: Connect Fail!!!". The touch screen does not work at all. Did the factory reset cause this? The touch screen was working when it was put back in the box for two years. I noticed that there is a question from someone with the same problem posted in 2015 but no one helped that person. I'm hoping someone from Acer will help now. Also in the two years that it was in the box my extended warranty expired, go figure. Thanks for the help in advance!
