I intend to buy an ACER Aspire 5 (A515-51-589E).

It is sold only with one HDD 1000 GB, no SSD.

I plan to install an additional SSD M.2 PCIe x4.

This should be possible based on:

https://www.ultrabookreview.com/15876-acer-aspire-5-a515-51-review/

But this review is for “ACER Aspire 5 (A515-51)” without the last number -598E.

I want to be sure: Can I add such an additional SSD or not?

(One potential seller says no!)

Does the model number -598E mean that there is no M.2 SSD connection?

Thank you.

Newer M.2 mainboard connectors are different from typical 2.5" laptop SSD connectors. SSDs with M.2 SATA interfaces are also incompatible with mainboards with M.2 PCI interfaces. Accordingly, I suggest that you contact crucial dot de to check on the availability and prices for an M.2 PCI SSDs. Jack E/NJ
