So it was working fine Saturday night.  I closed the lid and about 10 minutes later went to use it and nothing.  Black screen.  Blue Light was on, but nothing on the display.  So I held the power button down and powered it off.  Restarted and still no display.  Repeated powering down and restarting.  Nothing.  So I decided to let the battery drain down, thinking maybe that would do something (I know, wishful thinking).  Put it on the charger yesterday, the charging blue light was on, after about 4 hours tried to start it up, and nothing.  Power light goes on when I hit the power button, but as soon as I let go, it goes off.  Will not power on.  Thought it might of needed more charge and left it charge for the rest of Sunday, and sunday night.  Today, still nothing.  Could the battery of went?

It's possible, but there planty of other things that might give you similar symptoms. Look very closely at the screen after powering it up, if the backlight is out you'll be able to see faintly the normal screen. If the backlight is working but the OS isn't loading you'll be able to see the glow but no images. If nothing is evident with those checks, try booting into recovery mode. If it can do that it's likely either an OS image that's corrupted or a bad disk. Let us know what you find and maybe we can pin it down farther.
