Acer Chromebook 15 C910-C37P 16-Inch Chromebook Display has stopped working

I purchased the following computer on 12/12/2016

 

Acer Chromebook 15 C910-C37P 16-Inch Chromebook (1.5 GHz Intel Celeron 3205U Dual-core processor, 4GB memory, 32GB SSD, Chrome OS)

 

On 9/1/2017 my screen stopped working. I was told that my warranty had already expired. Purchasing new screen costs almost as much as the price of the Chromebook. I am very unhappy with this situation and the lack of service that your company has offered so far. I think you should replace this machine.

    I thought they had a one year warranty, did you purchase yours used or refurbished?
