Would relying on my Predator Helios 300's included SSD hurt the laptop's longevity?

It's obvious from the community that recently sold Acer Predator Helios 300s came without the second HDD kit that was pre-installed in other units. I already spoke with customer service and got the kit, but now I'm wondering whether it's even worth the effort, especially with some users reporting that they managed to damage their cases during the installation process.

This extra hassle has made me reconsider my storage needs. Now I'm tempted to send back the 1TB HDD I bought separately and only use the pre-installed 256GB SSD. Would this be a mistake? I know part of it boils down to your individual storage needs, but I've also heard conflicting comments on the effects of installing games and other software to an SSD over time. One person said it'll drastically reduce the SSD's lifespan if I rely on it as my primary storage device and that I should only use it for my OS and frequently used software (gaming clients like Steam, text editors, hobbygrade games, etc.); another person said that even if that's technically true, in practice the effects on newer SSDs are pretty neglible.

On one hand, I don't need to have a ton of games installed at any one time. I have good download speeds in my apartment and we don't have a data cap. Installing games as needed isn't a huge issue for me. On the other hand, I don't want to reduce my laptop's lifespan if constantly reading/writing data (if that's the right way to describe it) is harmful to an SSD.

What do you guys think? If I'm conservative with my storage usage, would I be fine with just the SSD? Or would it still be better for the laptop's longevity to also add that 1TB HDD into the mix?

One SSD has a lifespan of about 1petabytes. Meaning it has to write 1 petabyte in order to stop working at all. Reading data doesn't reduce its lifespan. It might get damaged by some other reason but it won't be because you are downloading, installing and play games on it.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
