No signal for V193W after RAM upgrade

I have the same problem as this person, except the monitor I'm using is a V193W.

I decided to add more memory to it, going from 1GB to 2GBs. After I installed the 1GB cards in the computer according to the manual the monitor said "no signal". I pulled them out and only installed one in the Zero slot to see if the computer would boot up. It didn't. I did the same witht the other one and got the same result. Each time I put the cards in I let them seat themselves, that is, put enough pressure upon them so the end clips snapped in place on their own. When I put the old 512MB cards back it fired right up. My video card connection is good, so it isn't that. In fact, I hooked up an old monitor and checked the cards against it with no change. I don't believe the cards are bad, either, because I have a another memory card of the same specification and used it as a check as well the two new ones from the upgrade kit.

Here's what I have. I'm using Windows XP Professional.

So, receiving the No Signal on your monitor means that the computer is not sending a signal.  I do not believe there is an issue with your monitor at all.

 

I'm not sure what computer you have, but all computers go through a POST (Power-On Self-Test) and generally speaking it checks for CPU, Memory, Video Output, Keyboard. Generally you'll get a single beep if it passed, and usually a series of beep that indicate where a failure occurred when one does.
