Predator Helios 300 Missing HDD caddy and SATA cable - NOT RESOLVED

I live outside US/Canada and bought this laptop via Amazon. It arrived a few weeks ago missing both the caddy and the SATA cable. When I contacted Acer US, I was told to contact local support. When I contacted local support, they eventually claimed it's not their respobsibility and refused to help. When I contacted Acer US again, I was eventually told there is no solution to my problem, and that I should buy the missing parts and have them installed at my own expense.

 

So I have 3 questions:

1. How can an esteemed company like Acer abuse its customers in this manner?

2. How can you mark this issue as resolved, while it is NOT resolved for anyone who ordered this laptop outside US/Canada?

3. Other than being sorry for me, like all Acer representatives seemingly are, what can you do to help me out here?
