Aspire E5-575G - Shoul I install generic Intel drivers?

My laptop comes with a custom driver. I replaced it with the latest version from the official website of Intel. Everything seems to be working perfectly so far... it's been like 5 months or so.

My question is, should I be doing this in the first place? What advantages will I gain from using Acer's drivers over the generic ones? I really need to know more about this specific topic because it's not clarified enough to the point I cannot decide whether to install the generic or the manufacturer's drivers.

Thank you.

I always download the drivers from the developers not from Acer, as the drivers from Acer are outdated. Using a generic driver, which is up to date especially when it is a graphics one may give you a bit of performance. As for an outdated one it may cause your system to crush especially if your operating system is up to date and a driver outdated.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
