Aspire E5-575G - Problems with Sound

Hi everyone!

The sound from my laptop sounds pretty low and muffled even at max volume. However, when the screen sleeps or when in battery saver mode, there's a big increase in sound and clarity (but no change in the volume number). For example, if the volume is 100, it plays at a certain volume. Once the screen sleeps or battery saver mode is entered, the volume remains at 100 but the sound is louder and clearer. I want my laptop to always have that louder sound.

Also, Acer TrueHarmony does not stay enabled. I have to re-enable it almost every time I turn on my laptop.

According to Windows, my laptop is up-to-date with upgrades. I have never updated anything through the Acer website. My laptop was manufactured 06/25/2017. It has been this way since I received it last month.

Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

i deleted the realtek audio drivers and installed again. But it was no help.
the same problem, whenever battery saver is on then audio becomes louder and when its off , sound output becomes too low.
need some solutions for that!!

Hi,

Could you please check the driver version in Device manager, get the version(6.0.1.8158) from Acer support site and install and see whether it fixes the problem.

I already tried intalling that but it had no change as mentioned above !!!

Hi,

It could be a hardware problem, I would suggest you to send it for a service to Acer in your region.

i did troubleshot sound problem from the task-bar, right clicking the sound icon. The volume increasing and dreasing while turning off/on the battery saver is now solved!

though sound is small, its only that switching it on/off its effect in the sound has been solved!

The driver for the High definition Audio Controller device under system devices in device manager has to be changed to msi mode. To do this follow instructions here http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-V-and-M-Series-Laptops/Acer-aspire-e5-575g-system-interrupts-high-cpu-usage/td-p/486198/page/13

After changing this driver to msi mode reboot and then uninstall the realtek audio driver under sound, video and game controllers. Then reboot.

You will have full sound regardless if u remove the battery saver. The downside is that Acer true harmony is lost. And by the way you will have better battery life.

Wow, I am having this trouble right now. I thought I was the only one having this problem. Is it a hardware issue ? I bought an Acer E5-476G just a few days ago....
