does the CPU or the GPU reach 93C? I can only suggest you to open up the laptop and repaste the GPU or better send it back to Acer for repair or get a new unit if you can. 93C for a GPU is way too high and I didn't even think it is possible for a GPU to reach such high temperature. That is why I ask is it the CPU or the GPU(graphics processor) on which you have recorded a temperature of 93C.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Ven pretty much covered it but no 93c is not normal for a GPU. Double check with hwmonitor or predatorsense that it's the GPU for sure.

Wow the CPU at 62c and the GPU at 90c, that is definitely not right your laptop should easily crush overwatch. Have you tried playing any other games and seen what the temps are? Also are you on high performance or balanced power mode

I just try OverWatch for now since the notebook just came back from the repair center for a motherboard problem, I'm really sad, this notebook does not even have a month and it's giving me so many problems Smiley Sad

I just tried both: high performance and balanced power mode, the gpu reach the same temperature, like 90-92 C..

    My comment:

-Did they forget to apply thermal paste on the GPU or they decided that there is no need to.

Hi guys, I write to update you about the situation.
According to the Acer technicians it was a motherboard problem (for the second time) ( I'm so unlucky ) and also the fan, so they both replaced.
After weeks, tomorrow the laptop will come home.
Hope that temperature issues are resolved.

    UPDATE:

During OverWatch now the Gpu is about 65 celsius and the Cpu around 70 celsius , that's good?

Hey I also bought a acer predator 17 GTX 1070 and when I play rainbow six siege on high medium or low settings my CPU and you are at 90•C as well and my fan at max speed through the app it comes with when I turn them on when I game also battery mode is power mode never presse the overclock button is there something wrong with my laptop as well? Just wondering but the game runs smooth on untra settings just scared at the temps if it's right or not and I run 150+ fps on high settings
