Poor performance B3_A30 tablet

I have recently purchased an B3-A30 tablet, followed the reviews for a budget tablet to replace my aged iPad 2. I have found the performance very poor, slow to open apps etc, also slow to open web pages. On top of that, a lot of my apps often say they are no longer responding and the only way I can cure this is by opening each app in settings, clear the cache, then reboot the tablet, with the restarting of the tablet taking in excess of 5 mins, is all the above normal, my wife has a compatible spec Asus which outperforms my Acer in all departments

try a factory reset and recheck the performance, if it's still slow, can be some ram/rom issue or bad  compiled OS or too much system applications (you can try to disable them if not needed)

Thanks for coming back to me, will factory reset now, when I restart, is there a preferred antivirus I should use

i never used an antivirus on android devices, so i can't help you on the choice.
