I use my laptop for work & editing headstone pictures. As I upload, I edit the pictures then burn them to disc to keep my computer running smoothly. About the time around Valentines day, Windows installed an update that needed to restart the laptop. I finished what I was doing & hit shut-down & thought in the morning it'll do it's thing. I turned it on the next morning & a big red X popped up & said it couldnt start up due to hardware malfuction or possible damage to hardware. Ive tried using the restoration discs I bought for it, they don't work or doesn't read them or play them. I ended up having to buy a used laptop & thought it's been a while, I'll hook it up to this one & see what it does. It's tried to fix the problem & Ive gotten it to the "System Recovery Options" box & it's asking for user name & password. HELP, I havent the foggiest idea what it would be. This is the 2nd time this has happened!! The 1st time I hadn't even had it 4 months & it crashed when Windows did an update & had to send it in & was told I wasn't the only one that this had happend to.
