My GPU,CPU sometimes hits the 85 degree Celsius mark while gaming on full load (non-ac environment). No throttling observed, but are these normal temps. Thinking of getting a cooling pad soon..

85C is an expected temperature from a laptop. If you want to bring the temperature down you can repaste the CPU and GPU or just undervolt the CPU( doing both things is best).

You can undervolt with Throttlestop or XTU. Start by reducing the voltage by -100mV and then keep adding -10mV until your system crushes. When it crushes you just reboot and everything will reset automatically. Set the voltage to the last one on which the system was stable. You should also keep the CPU under constant load while undervolting. It is best to download Prime95(stress test), which will keep your CPU at 100% load. You can also search it up in the Internet how to undervolt your CPU.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
