Hello,

A few months ago I was given this laptop, but as I have not been in need of it until now, it has remained in a drawer in my room. Now, when I recently brought it out to install the necessary programmes for its use in my classes, I found a major, and incredibly irksome, issue.

Whenever I attempt to scroll down a page or somesuch, using two fingers to swipe at the touchpad, the screen flickers black. It is almost as if it powers down to preserve battery, for as soon as i touch the touchpad, or press a key, the screen quickly turns on once more. There are instances when this does not happen as I attempt to scroll with two fingers, but it is very rare.

This issue is incredibly annoying, and I hope that anyone in this forum has any idea of what is causing this; and hopefully someone also has a solution.

Forgive me if this post is lacking in any details conventionally included in these kinds of posts, but I have never had cause to create one before. If there is any additional information you need, feel free to ask. I will do my best to help you.

Regards,

Axel

EDIT: If it helps, I recently noticed that this problem seems really only to occur when Google Chrome is active. The screen does not power down when scrolling if Chrome running, and I am, for example, looking through the Control Panel.
