While researching the latest Bios version previous to initializing my F5-573G-58XS (unit#3) I did find the txt  file.

{edit i recently realized if ya clik on [...] the bios decription will be displayed Smiley Happy }

I was chking to see if there were (any AcerCSR unstated) bios upgrades,  regards the Batt' algorithm/code.

The only item listed in the notes that i can 'visualize' is the fix to some port failures, as seen reported in various postings out there in the www .

Reference, " Release Note:
1. Update following microcode
      M36506E3_000000B9_000000BA.TXT
      MC0406E3_000000B9_000000BA.TXT
2. Fix S3 wake up, USB BT yellow mark, CCD not work, some port fail.
3. Update EC to v2.3.   "

Thanks for any "translation"  Smiley Happy

p.s. wrote this then, thought of doing a search... a thread by Kubas789 popped up asking similiar question... (ref. http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-V-and-M-Series-Laptops/Aspire-E5-575G-new-bios-and-intel-speedshift/m-p/511728 )   seemingly unanswered as of today and for a diff. platform with potentially diff. issue(s),    so I went ahead and posted mine   Smiley Happy

    Considering Kubas'  had posted a thread last month with still no response I figured i would call acer support on the phuuune !

    Basically asking the CSR if she had anymore info regards  Bios v1.27.

    About the only item she could 'decipher' is the S was regards a tempremental (?)  sleep function not waking up when it should.

    Never could find anything on the #1 microcode.

    While she was off wandering the acer databases she had access to for more info,   I googled CCD which I thought I should know what it involved and I should ah, since it applies to camera sensors. CCD is something you would be aware of when at least shopping for a new camera and interested in the specs...

    She could NOT find any info on EC V2.3 !  But I did duh  google.ca  again while still on the ph.,  for just EC;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embedded_controller    which contained as one of the items addressed within their generic EC info,  mention of  batt' charger and batt' !!

    And then I did some variant of  'EC v2.3' on google, which popped out this Acer community thread;  http://community.acer.com/t5/Aspire/BIOS-Update-EC-version-v2-30-f%C3%BCr-ES1-132/td-p/515198

    Ya would think a  "EC v2.3"  for a ES1-132  would be the same for F5-573G, but is it ?

    Since there is also a ec v2.6 for a F5-572G out there also !

    http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-V-and-M-Series-Laptops/BIOS-update-precaution/m-p/430558

    Hmmmm, what is the full description for that version ?  Any Batt' algorithm/code fixes  to smooth out the low batt levels usually noted at TO (for my model),  then jumping all round even when the cpu is working at a constant ?

    ref. http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-V-and-M-Series-Laptops/Defective-Batt-gt-Acer-Aspire-F15-F5-573G-58XS/m-p/519826#M19761

    Although if there was, still not likely (safely) doable unless sanctioned by Acer with a listing (of EC v2.6)  under 'F5-573G-58XS'  within their "Drivers and Manuals" !

    But as mentioned earlier,  there is only mention of  'EC v2.3' within the latest listed Bios (v1.27) .

    nite,
