After I updated my bios from 1.03 to 1.09 in Helios 300, I observed that now the processor tends to stay on higher frequencies than before, it used to stay below 1 GHz when idle, now it tends to stay at around 1.7-1.8ghz even at 0%load.
Any way to downgrade bios as I was unable to do so.

I don't think you can roll back the bios update for the Helios at all. You can contact Acer support and ask them though if you really are determined. I noticed the frequency thing also after updating I thought it was kind of odd.

There is probably a reason of bringing the minimum frequency up or it wasn't intended at all. I don't think it should affect battery life by much as it only increases the frequency, but the CPU is not under load.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
