Current spec 4gb ram, 500gb hd -  - Win 10 upgraded from WIn 7

I wish to change the current hard disk drive for a new cooler, faster SSD.

Is this a simple process?  is it just a case of cloning the hd to the new ssd and then swapping them over?

I am not too tech savvy.  Does anyone know what SATA spec is required.  I do know it is a 2.5 inch drive, but not sure what SATA plug/configuration is needed.

Thanks

John

Go to crucial dot com. Either enter your Aspire Netbook 722 OR download their scanner for compatible SSD upgrades. Fairly easy upgrade. Any 7mm thick SATA3/2 SSD should work just fine. Jack E/NJ

My R3 came with a 500GB Western Digital HDD. I replaced with a Samsung 850 EVO. Was just a matter of taking a system image (in File History on Win 10) before and loading on the new drive after. Plug & Play and a big improvemant.
