Hello, I bought my laptop about two months ago, but over the past month I regularly have been getting a blue screen not long after start-up. It says :-( Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart.

It usually says ACP1 BIOS ERROR, and most recent one said DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do to stop this happening?

I'd really appreciate any help.

Cheers

    Hi

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) errors are usually indicative of a mis-match in the hardware.  Sometimes the screen resolution is incorrect and wont display or there is a BIOS problem with the firmware.

Rectification?   3 possible courses of action, in the order I think you should consider them.

    Disable ACPI in the BIOS

Enable ACPI and set to Load Safe Defaults

    Flash a new BIOS.

It could be a faulty piece of hardware and need Acer to repair/replace.
