Killer drivers suddenly failed?

Hi, I have an Acer Predator 17 G5-793-72AU.

My internet was working fine until I moved to a new apartment today. I hooked up with Comcast and had an ethernet cable wired into the laptop. It worked fine at first, but the wi-fi was unable to connect (it would sit and say it was checking network requirements indefinitely). So, I restarted the computer. After this, I was able to put in a password to the wi-fi, which connected, but had no internet. Now, the Internet no longer works with the ethernet cable in either. When I use windows to troubleshoot either type of connection, it says that I am configured perfectly but that microsoft.com is not responding.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers using the 1.3.1350 Killer Control Center Suite, which appears to install correctly, but still no Internet. I also tried the 1.1.69.1774 Killer Network Manager Suite (I believe this this suite, though not the same version, was what was installed previously), but it says that the network driver fails to install during installation. I made sure that all anti-virus were turned off, and even made sure to run them as administrator. No dice.

I know the Internet is working because all of my other devices are just fine. It's only this laptop. Everything appears to be working, but as soon as I try to connect with a browser or something, it acts completely offline. There isn't even an exclamation mark on the connection icon in the bottom right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Hi,

I'm using the Killersuite_1774... successfully. Problems are often related to the feature "advanced stream detection". If disabled Wlan runs 3times faster for me.

    Try the following:

    - go to programs and features and uninstall the Killer software

    - reboot

    - go to device manager and find the Killer device. If a driver is still installed - uninstall it manually by right clicking

    - reboot

    - if no more driver is there you can try to install the Killer Suite again

the latest drivers only, installing the complete suite is not worth

i had a similar issue on my G7 and i solved disabling IPv6 from wifi properties:

right click the wifi icon near date/clock

    click on Open network....

double click on Connections (the blue network name)

    click on Properties

    untick Internet protocol version 6

    click on OK

    reboot your PC

    I'm not an Acer employee.
