I´m going to update my cpu to i7 7700k and I´m having some problems updating my BIOS for Kaby Lake support.

My computer specs:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: i5 6400 2,7 Ghz
GPU: Gtx 970
RAM: 8gb
Motherboard: b150
Current bios version: Acer R01-A1, 7.10.2015
Trying to update to bios version: Acer R02-A2

I already downloaded the right version of newest bios version and unzipped it.
I also tried to make my 32gb usb bootable with rufus.

I read the instructions of pdf files there was with the bios folder, but I don't completely understand what should I do.

So could you send me proper step-by-step guide and information how should I update my bios.
Thanks!

How can i understand which version i need to download?

    Desktop versions:
P01.xx can only be updated using P01.xx versions
P11.xx can only be updated using P11.xx versions (normally P11.xx version are labeled "*not for upgrades")

"L" BIOS versions are Linux OS dedicated (example P01.xxL)

    R01 can't be updated to R02

    * what does it mean "not for upgrades"?
During the windows 7 to 8 transition, some PC models had different BIOS versions from factory, related to the installed OS.
Windows 8 PC got an UEFI BIOS
Windows 7 PC got a "Legacy" BIOS

So PC with Windows 7 installed from factory can't use the "not for upgrades" BIOS version, even if they were upgraded to Windows 8 or 10, since the factory BIOS was a different version compared to PC with Windows 8 from factory.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
