Recovery Issues

I have been in the windows insider program and have had issues with it updating so i want to go back to factory default and get out of the program.

I don't know why I don't have a recovery partition but I don't so I purchased a USB recovery from ACER for 50.00 Canadian.  I've enabled F12 in the BIOS and I choose the USB HDD from the boot option menu but it just boots in Windows  like normal.  I'm not a techie but can get by with simple instructions in most cases but this is driving me nuts.  It seems like I just blew 50.00 for nothing.  Is it because of the Windows Insider Program and if so why?   I've tried the USB in each port but it doesn't matter.

I could really use some good help.  Laptop is an ACER Aspire E15 - 573-56RP.  I'm running Windows 10 Home Insider Program at the moment.  It was their forum that said to go back to factory default

Thanks in advance for your help.

on BIOS check if is set to UEFI and under F12 you need to select the USB flash drive brand and model, not USB HDD.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thanks for the info. I was following the instructions that came with the drive from Acer. Under F12 I only have the above option and Windows. Under F2 there are more options. Why would that be? When I get home this evening I will check it out? I just don't want to mess up my laptop.

    Thanks again for your help
