Acer Aspire 4810T Overheating

Hi,

I own an Acer Aspire 4810T Laptop and have experienced a few problems with overheating.  I have read on other forums that this could be down to a Windows Upgrade from Vista to Windows 7.  Now, after a relatively short period the laptop will shut off with the underneath of the unit extremely hot.  Thinking about it, the fan does not seem to come on at all.  I have also read that there is a potential software solution to download an eframework and epower application from acer.  However when I have looked these options seem to have disappeared.  If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Regards,
