My acer tablet has not been charging properly and got to the point where the charger had to be held in a certain position for it to charge at all. It is only six months old and has not been dropped or had any impact damage (unless you class inserting a charger as impact damage). I recently sent it off for repair as it is still under warranty. Today I received a call stating that the charger port is damaged and that isn't covered by the warranty. They kindly offered to repair it for £105!!! The same model is on sale in the store I bought it from for £110! Can you advise me in how to take this further please

Same happened to me. 8 months and it would not charge. I have a 6 year old Tesco Hudl working fine, yet this cheaply manufactured pile breaks so easily. They said it was accidental damage so would charge over £100 to repair. It was not damaged by me at all, but their diagnosis renders warranty worthless. Lesson never buy Acer again and advise others of the same.
