I just bought an Aspire ES 15 and don't creat enough documents to get much use out of paying for Windows Notepad. I cant't remember how to access it's document creation facility. I want to make a list of items and store it on the desktop. I'll be OK once I find the location of the facility.

Thanks...

    Hi

I am not familiar with Microsoft Notepad, other than the one bundled in Windows Accessories at no extra cost, and no cost to create documents.

For documents and other home/office needs I use LibreOffice.  I know that there is Office 365 which appears to be chargeable.

So what are you actually doing?

If you have documents created in a subscription type document creator and you can access them, I would install LibreOffice (or similar) and have it open at the same time and copy all of the 'online' document and paste it into LibreOffice and save it locally as a .doc  .odt .txt or .rtf; then repeat as many times as needed.

Please could you explain what program, app or whatever you have used.
