I recently purchased my wife a new Aspire E5-575G and she really loves it except for the fact that Internet Explorer keeps crashing several times for day. The only software we've added to the PC after purchase was Microsoft Office 365 and Norton Security. There doesn't seem to be any commonality between when it crashes she's been on different websites and it's happening during different times of the day.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Click the IE settings wheel at the top right, click Internet Options, go to Advanced tab and click reset then click Apply.

    Hi

Perhaps a different browser would perform differently, even better than IE11, like FireFox and/or Chrome.

It is possible that the Norton Suite is causing instability, and you could try and run with it disabled for internet security, just leaving the Anti-Virus capability active.

An alternative to Office 365 is Libreoffice and for Norton, AVG  Avast and Avira.

If you could roll back to pre install of Norton and let Windows Defender do it's job for a few days this might clarify the area of conflict.  Then add a free security suite for a few days and assess the situation.  Then decide to uninstall free A/V and re-initiate Norton for a comparison.
