Need help!

Anyone of you guys trying to upgrade/change the RAM of this unit?

I've tried. but after adding one more 4GB RAM on the other slot, laptop still reading 4GB. I have made sure that my extra RAM is working on the other Laptop. So i removed my existing RAM and put the one RAM to the No. 1 slot, and made sure that all connections are intact each other, but after powering up, only LED on the laptop. No display!

So it did challenge myself. I took another RAM from the working Laptop and put it on my Acer Laptop. But still the same! I've tried already the 4pcs of working RAM , with the same specs but still not working to my Aspire E5-571-34LB laptop.

So I download the latest version og BIOS update and installed it to my acer laptop. but still can't read other RAM!

I've tried 2 pcs of working 1600 MHz , but failed.

I've tried 2 pcs of working 1333 MHz , but failed.

It seems that only the existing 4GB RAM is working on this laptop with the specs of 4GB 2Rx8 PC3 - 12800S.

what else should i need to know about upgrading/changing RAM of this Acer laptop? Thank you and more power

I suggest you go to crucial dot com and download/run their compatible upgrade scanner on your specific machine to verify its advertised 16GB DDR3L capability. Jack E/NJ

The amount of RAM fitted is not always the amount shown/used.

Personally I go to Crucial and Kingston and get their assessment of what is fitted and what can be achieved. Also I do use Piriform Speccy and Belarc Adviser for confirmation.

Speccy shows this, and I know with a Windows 32 bit operating system I can only use 4Gb, but as it's a 64 bit Windows 10 all 8Gb is available.
