Hi all!

Sorry if this has been asked previously - couldn't find it anywhere at least for this model. As the subject states, i have the Acer Predator 15 G9-592. I've had it for about a year now and i had a few questions about it.

1) Under heavy load (gaming), the CPU temp reaches (and stays as long as i am gaming intensely) around 95 C with the system temp a bit less than that - provided the laptop is well-ventilated and in a room temp of around 30 C. Currently, it is idling at 45 C (both CPU and system) in a room temp of 20 C. Is this normal? Is it ok if it stays at around 90 C for a few hours at a time?

2) If these temps aren't normal, any proved recommendations to bring them down? Maybe changing the thermal paste? Lowering the voltage?

Thanks a lot in advance!

90° for cpu is normal if you think its too much first do undervolting which doesn't void warranty, you might get 5° less and still do you think its over heating change the thermal paste you might get overall reduce in temperature of 7-10°

Yes undervolting is quick and easy way to bring down temps a little. Repasting is another more involved option. One more thing you can do is get some compressed air and blow out your fans/vents (brace the fan with something so it doesn't spin on it's own). 90c is fine, not optimum but as long as you aren't shutting down from overheating you're okay. Good luck

Thanks for your reply! Will a slight reduction in voltage affect the performance?

I was looking at a quick fix so i might give the compressed air method a try. Thanks! Ill update the post if it works well.

No undervolting does not affect performance one bit besides lowering temps. Good luck wih the compressed air

    undervolting does not reduce performance
