Helios 300. To update drivers or not?

I have read a few reviews of the Helios 300, suggesting that the video card drivers should be updated. My 300 is working perfectly, and I'm a big fan of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Is it recommended to update the video drivers for this Laptop? I'm not a techie, so I'm looking for guidance. Thanks.

Usually newer drivers perform better than the previous ones, but in many cases they have some bugs or are not optimised well. Here is a previous thread, stating that the graphics driver, from Acer's website works better than the newest driver:

If the version of your driver is the same as the one on Acer's driver page 'https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers' leave it like that. If it isn't I suggest you to update it from there.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks for the info. If I have any issues, I know where to go to update the driver. Smiley Happy
