So I am stuck. I can't do a simple hard reset because there is a password, that I don't know, set. Finally, I was able to get to the blue screen with advanced options menu. I think I'm in the change firmware settings option. The background screen on my tablet is blue. There is a window that says Re-image your computer. In this window it says, select the location of the backup for the computer you want to restore. Then there is a bigger window that says Open at the top. In the Open window it says Look in: next to a drop down box. Below where it says Look in: there are three icons, Recent Places, Libraries, and Computer. If I select Computer I can see three hard disk drives, Acer (CSmiley Happy, then under that Boot (XSmiley Happy and then to the right of the Acer hard disk drive is the Local Disk Drive (DSmiley Happy bootable usb drive that I created. If I select the Local Disk drive, all of the files from the recovery disk are there. NOW HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS - Is it possible to run the recovery usb drive that I created by SELECTING ONE OF THE FILES LISTED to begin the process of reinstalling windows 8 onto the tablet? Now, if this is possible, WHICH FILE DO I CHOOSE TO OPEN?-- BTW, there is also a small window that says Add Drivers - Insert the installation media for the device and click OK to select the driver. Now, as I'm seeing these windows on my screen I have a bootable usb connected to the tablet via the adaptor which has all of the recovery files loaded on it. Someone please tell me there is a way to fix this? Thank you very much!
