I tried out the USB C/Thunderbolt 3 port yesterday and connected my external HDD. It was powering up, but it was nowhere to be found in Windows. The computer beeps like when a detachable device is added to your system when I attach my USB-B 3.1 adapter to the Thunderbolt port, but it won't recognise anything else past that.
Is the reason behind it my drivers? Or is it a hardware fault? The adapter is working fine with my phone, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with the laptop as well.
