SSD Compatibility in F5-573G-719C

I know that this isn't the first time this kind of question is made here, but i couldn't figure it out with other posts. Also, it isn't clear enough if the answers apply to my model. 

 

Basically, i want to know if the m.2 port supports SATA and/or PCIe. More specifically, this model:

 

Plextor 256GB M.2 2280, wich has the interface: M.2 PCIe Gen 3 x4 with NVM Express.

Searching around, i've encountered pleople worried about the number of lanes the PCIe uses. So, if PCIe is possible, the 4 lanes of the model above would be a problem? I would use all of its capability?

 

This is the site that has the model above, in case you need more specs about the ssd. It's in portuguese, but i guess it is understandable.

Hi,

You need to install the program HWiNFO64 and check the Maximum Link Width  reading, if it's 2x or 4x, you will be able to install PCIe/NVMe SSD, you can install a normal M.2 SATA SSD without any problem but to find out the NVMe support do as what I said, instructions are in this thread, http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-and-M-Series-Laptops/Acer-Aspire-E-15-E5-575-52JF/m-p/496266#M16183

The version is 3.0, and the root port #9 has link width of 2, in case anyone ends here wanting the same answer .

Conclusions are, the model above doesn't work, but a PCIe connection of lane width 2 will.

The sad part is that the PCIe used in the Nvidia 940MX has 16 lanes, but it uses only 4 =(

But... the fact it has 4 lanes doesn't matter? 

How much better a 4 lanes used in a 2 lanes port would be better than a m.2 sata? 

There are too many questions ç.ç

Found this: PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD, is it better to change to SATA M.2 ?
