Transfer from old computer

Where do I find Acer backup manager for windows 8 to allow me to simply transfer files from my old to my new computer?

If it really is Backup that you want, this is done with the File Manager program.

Plug in your external hard drive to a USB port.

From the pop-up window select 'Tap to choose what happens with removable drives'

Select 'Configure this drive for Backup option"

From the pop-up File History window, select 'Turn on'

and away it goes backing up the files from your new computer to your external hard drive.

 

If it is really file Transfer from your old to new computer that you want, use the Easy Transfer program that comes with Windows 8. You will need a flash drive to copy the Easy Transfer program to your old computer. Thereafter it is all menu driven. You have three options, an easy transfer cable, or use your network, or use an external hard drive.
