My PC originally came with Windows 8 which I updated to 8.1 and then 10 without any problem.
Last week, after the lastest Win 10 update, my PC slowed to a crawl. Doing anything was very slow.
I contacted MS and after various discussions they advised me to do a full system restore. When I use
the Acer eRecovery utility, it starts the process of rebooting the PC but never goes into recovery mode.
It just boots back into the normal Windows 10 desktop. I tried it many times and same result.
I read about the ALT+F10 keys at boot time but the PC doesn't recognize that and my BIOS does not
have a D2D mode. I booted the PC using Hiren's Boot disk and clearly see the Recovery partition but
eRecovery will not start the process. Unfortunately I never created eRecovery disks so it's not an option.
I don't want to spend money to buy the recovery disks. Doesn't acer provide the eRecovery utility online
somewhere so I can re-install it? What other options do I have?
